On the first Sunday of the month, Pastor Michael Crawley (Michael Colyar) discovers that half of his congregation has left to join a new church led by his former assistant pastor. Determined to save his church, he appoints his oldest son, Demarcus (Anthony S. Goolsby), as the new assistant pastor and navigates the challenges of convincing the congregation to stay and new members to join. At the same time, Pastor Crawley is dealing with family issues, including the return of his other son MJ (Chico Benymon) who is joined by his young daughter Brianna (Kali Rose Lewis).
